We as the human race are at a pivotal point in
history. The global issues that face us now will be changed into
galactic issues in the very near time. The big question is how will
a galactic economic engine effect us globally, hemispherical, locally
and individually. The structural model in some ways has changed
with regards to manufacturing methodology. But, what has remained
constant is the response the human race has always had to changing
conditions. There is an inborn survival instinct that has allowed
us to adapt over the millennium. All of the trends
that have flowed through us, have one
thing in common. They are all forms of EVENTS.
The increases in productivity stem from categorizing events into
processes. Process characterization formed the Quality
Improvement programs that the Japanese began in the
early '70s. These initiatives continue to grow today in the United
States and globally. The latest movement is called Six Sigma which
started at Motorola in the '80s. Eventronics is the bifurcation
of the Quality Chaos.
By observing both successful and failed Six
Sigma deployments, Eventronics has found an overlooked
perspective that describes organizational sensitivity to program
initiatives and market driven occurrences. Process improvement programs,
direct project impact on cost reduction.
Sales growth in the cost side model, becomes
driven by incremental change and lower selling price. Another focus
from a cost view, is market penetration and dominance. The strategy
to create and expand into new markets is less important than controlling
existing markets. Thus, the response of the organization becomes
very narrow to a specific set of market conditions. During the onset
of a recession when the market conditions change far enough, as
they did during the bubble burst, companies were left without any
other strategy than slash and burn. After the recession ends, as
the growth mode expands, an imprinted wound exists.
Recessions tend to create reactive organizations
and the "Rightsizing" can dramatically drain an organization
and individuals of passion. From our observations
